Troy Deeney has told talkSPORT that West Brom boss Sam Allardyce ‘could walk by the end of this month’ if he doesn’t get his ways in the January transfer window.
It hasn’t been the ideal start at West Brom for Allardyce, who after getting smashed by the likes of Aston Villa, Leeds and Arsenal in the Premier League, were knocked out of the FA Cup by League One side Blackpool.
Robert Snodgrass has been added to West Brom’s ranks this month, but the former West Ham man clearly won’t be enough if the Midlands outfit are to survive.
Watford hitman Deeney shared his thoughts on Allardyce and was asked whether he could see him leaving by the time the season is out.
“Yes, you could see him doing that,” said Deeney. “If he doesn’t get three or four players in then he probably could walk by the end of this month.
“He could look at it and go, I don’t know whether he has been promised players, but this isn’t enough to do what he is renowned for, which is keeping teams in the Premier League.”

It would be something if Allardyce ends up walking this month, and whilst that’s highly unlikely, the survival expert leaving by the close of play this season shouldn’t be ruled out.
In truth, the problems at the Hawthorns are beyond Allardyce and he will be hoping his firefighter-like skills can help take out the fires.
At this moment in time, West Brom don’t even have enough water to fuel themselves in their fight to stay in the Premier League, but that’s where the winter transfer window comes into play.
