Liverpool fans have expressed their worry for Takumi Minamino after he was an unused substitute for Southampton during their 2-1 defeat against Ryan Mason’s side on Wednesday.
This is turning out to be a disastrous loan spell for Minamino, as the Liverpool man is struggling just to come off the bench.
Not only did Ralph Hasenhüttl bench the Liverpool speedster for the third game running, but he didn’t even bring him onto the pitch.
Minamino last started for the Saints during their 2-1 defeat to Brighton last month – and that was the last time he earned any minutes in the Premier League.
Liverpool supporters have picked up on his lack of game time and are questioning what will happen to him.
Minamino’s situation should worry those at Anfield because he isn’t struggling to get into a team that’s thriving.
But the Japan international cannot even get a few minutes for a Saints side that has been the worse team, points-wise, since the turn of the year.
And that’s say something with Sheffield United in the division.
