Everton have been linked with Gelson Martins, and Don Hutchison has given his backing to the potential transfer on social networking site Twitter, while also stating that he had advised West Ham United to sign the Sporting Lisbon winger 18 months ago.

According to The Telegraph, Everton are interested in signing Martins from Sporting in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the Portugal international winger, who is claimed to have cancelled his contract at Sporting.

Former Liverpool and Everton midfielder Hutchison has given his take on Martins on Twitter, while also stating that he advised another of his former clubs, West Ham, to sign the 23-year-old 18 months ago – comments which will surely encourage the Toffees fans.

Another player who is reported to be on the radar of Everton in the summer transfer window is Hirving Lozano.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Everton are interested in signing Lozano from PSV this summer.

The 22-year-old Mexico international winger is playing at the World Cup in Russia at the moment, and his national football team manager Juan Carlos Osorio has backed him to be a success in the Premier League – words that will encourage Everton fans.

Osorio told Sky Sports about Lozano: “I just think that whoever takes a chance on him will do well. His pace and again his ability to take people on, he can play in any league and any place. I think he will be able to – and he has the tools to play – in the Premier League.”
