The 32-year-old departed Tondela this summer.
Enaut Zubikarai
Nottingham Forest were dealt a blow yesterday as last season’s Player of the Year Dorus De Vries moved closer to securing a move to Celtic.
The Dutchman underwent a medical in Glasgow yesterday and it seems his Forest career is over.
He missed last night’s 3-0 loss at Brighton, with Stephen Henderson starting. Forest clearly need to bring in another keeper in light of these developments.
Enaut Zubikarai in goal
Against Brighton 21-year-old stopper Jordan Smith sat on the bench, with no first-team experience at this level. Bulgarian talent Dimitar Evtimov was absent, whereabouts unexplained.
But if Forest want to make a quick, easy and free transfer then they should look no further than Enaut Zubikarai.
Who you ask?
Nottingham Forest’s Dorus De Vries
The 32-year-old goalkeeper is currently a free agent after his short-term contract with Portuguese side Tondela ended this summer.
The Spaniard previously spent 13 years at Real Sociedad and was the back-up to Claudio Bravo during Philippe Montanier’s reign at the Anoeta.
Stephen Henderson
A solid competitor who could challenge Henderson to the number one spot he would be an uninspiring but solid signing from the Forest boss.
