Andor is a Star Wars TV series set in a galaxy far, far away that premiered on Disney+ on September 21, 2022. Created by Tony Gilroy, the series is a prequel to the 2016 spin-off film, Rogue One, which first introduced the Rebel operative, Cassian Andor.

Starring Diego Luna as Andor, the series charts Cassian’s journey from a lowly street thief to a hero of the Rebel Alliance, all within a galaxy wrought with intrigue, deception and betrayal.

Joining Luna in the star-studded cast are Stellan Skarsgård as Rebel recruiter Luthen Rael, Fiona Shaw as Andor’s adoptive mother Maarva and Adria Arjona as Bix, an ally of Cassian who assists in his dangerous endeavours.

The moody spy thriller is a dramatic departure from other Star Wars series that have arrived in 2022; The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. It is being hailed as the best entry in the franchise since The Mandalorian thanks to its grittier tone and more adult themes.
