Chievo Verona

Serie A's Cinderella club, Chievo went from village team to top flight in 15 years. Chievo is a small suburb of Verona with only 3,000 residents and the club has a relatively tiny fan-base but they incredibly reached Serie A in 2000-01. The next season the Flying Donkeys stunned everyone and finished fifth and they even qualified for the Champions League in the aftermath of 2006's Calciopoli scandal. These days they are always tipped to go down but usually stay afloat despite a negligible budget.
