- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Juventus are not giving up the idea of signing one key Premier League player this summer.
Juventus are set for a vital summer with Thiago Motta, formerly of Bologna, hoping to turn the club’s fortunes around after his appointment.
Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has been linked with a move away from the club and HITC understands that the Italian giants are not giving up on the idea of landing the 26-year-old Brazilian.
The Midlands club have set a £50 million price tag for the former Manchester City midfielder but that is a price that the Italian giants are unwilling to pay.

Juventus’ plan
HITC understands that Juve have a host of players that they are hoping to offer to the Premier League club in the hope of signing the Brazilian.
Juventus have a set budget and they are already progressing with deals for Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, Atalanta’s Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners and Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori – who is following head coach Motta to Turin.
HITC have previously reported that the Midlands club are keen on offering a new contract to the 26-year-old but it is unclear if he would accept.
Juventus are hoping to complete the signing of the midfielder who was vital for the Midlands club last season and have a few names in mind that they would be willing to offer to Unai Emery’s side.
Juventus’ offer
HITC understands that the Italian giants have been discussing a deal with the Midlands club with Weston McKennie, Samuel Iling-Junior, Mathias Soule and Dean Huijsen amongst those who have been mentioned in a potential deal.
We have previously reported that Villa have held talks to sign the American midfielder McKennie and the former Leeds United midfielder could be a key signing at Villa Park.
The Italian giants are understood to be ready to sell the American this summer and McKennie moving to the Premier League club this summer would make a lot of sense.
