Tottenham Hotspur will be returning to Europe next season after securing Europa League football on the final day of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
Ange Postecoglou was hoping for Champions League football, but Tottenham’s poor form in the final few months cost them.
You wouldn’t blame the fans if they are feeling upbeat ahead of the new campaign because their manager has brought a feel-good factor to the place.
The only issue is that Tottenham have been here before during the past few years and it all ends in Daniel Levy getting a load of stick.
His new manager has a bounce, and then in his second season, it all starts to unfold again and things go horribly wrong.
It’s probably a reason why Gabby Agbonlahor was laughing at Jamie O’Hara’s comments about Tottenham for next season.
The former midfielder stated that the is ‘excited’ by what the team is going to produce and where Postecoglou is going to take the club.
Agbonlahor couldn’t believe it and saw the funny side by claiming that O’Hara already has the London club winning the Premier League title ‘by October’, as he posted on Twitter.
He also mocked O’Hara for claiming on a reality TV programme in the USA that he is a ‘famous Soccer player’ from the UK.
Tottenham Hotspur under Ange Postecoglou next season
“Lol,” wrote Agbonlahor at O’Hara’s prediction. “Here he is, Spurs win (the) league in October. Hollywood famous soccer player, the chunk.”

Tottenham in the summer transfer window
One name is already through the door. It’s another loan deal for Timo Werner and his return has perplexed some.
You would suspect Werner comes in as a squad player and to fill in when there are injuries, especially with a stacked-up fixture list because of Europe.
There is an expectancy amongst the supporters, and with Postecoglou himself, that there are going to be wholesale changes.
Players like James Maddison will be rested after missing out on England’s Euro 2024 squad, so whilst fans will be disappointed for him, he will have a summer off and ready to prove his worth next season.
All of this falls in Tottenham’s favour because the expectancy levels are going to go up now.
