Jurgen Klopp has given his response when asked what his reaction would be if Manchester City were found guilty of their 115 financial charges.
After nine brilliant years at Anfield, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided the time was right to step away from Merseyside, after what had been a gruelling couple of seasons for the Reds.
Former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot was the man chosen to lead a new era at Anfield but he will be under pressure to step into the role that was done with such distinction by Klopp.
Had it not been for Manchester City’s dominance under Pep Guardiola, Klopp’s side could well have won three or four titles, rather than the solitary Premier League trophy they won in 2020.

Klopp on City’s charges
Of course, for City, a rather serious dark cloud looms over the Etihad Stadium, with there still being no update about the 115 charges that the Citizens are facing.
During a questions and answer session hosted by comedian John Bishop, after the German stated he would not answer questions on City, he took the bait when Bishop asked what he would do if the charges did stick.
“If you organise a bus parade I’m in. How long it takes, I don’t care how long,” Klopp told an audience at the city’s M&S Bank Arena following the end of his tenure as Liverpool coach, as per the Daily Telegraph.
City deny all wrongdoing as the club awaits its hearing this autumn for 115 alleged financial breaches after one of the most dominant eras in footballing history.
Klopp’s Liverpool era
The German came into the club during the Autumn of 2015, replacing Brendan Rodgers, and pretty much straight away, the enigmatic former Borussia Dortmund boss made a superb impact.
As mentioned, if it wasn’t for Guardiola’s City, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the Reds would have overtaken Manchester United’s tally of 20 league titles.
It is unclear whether these charges given to City will indeed stick but as long as the case remains open, any trophy won by Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium will be looked at in controversial circumstances.
