Liverpool are set to embark on an exciting rebuild with former Feyenoord boss Arne Slot confirmed to be the next manager at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp announced the appointment of Arne Slot rather jovially after the final day victory over Wolves in the Premier League. A summer of change is expected with the future of key players, potentially under the microscope.
HITC reported last week that one of Liverpool’s biggest priorities this summer is tying down Trent Alexander-Arnold to a new long-term contract at Anfield, with the Englishman having just a year left on his deal.
The future of Mohamed Salah may well also be of interest to other clubs with HITC reporting earlier this month that teams from the Saudi Pro League remain interested in the Egyptian.

Salah and PSG
One club who have not been mentioned around Salah is Paris Saint-Germain, who will be looking for a replacement for French forward Kylian Mbappe, who is set to leave the Parc Des Princes and potentially move to Real Madrid.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes that, whilst PSG are certainly in the market for a wide forward, Salah should not make the move to France.
“I just don’t think so,” Agbonlahor said. “I think the money that Liverpool would want, I just think it makes sense for them to get another year out of him and he goes then.
“I don’t see him sign a new contract at Liverpool. But I just see him wanting to stay there. The new manager will build a team around Salah. Salah is the main player, At 31, 32 next month, why he would want to leave the Premier League yet? He loves football, doesn’t he?”
“There’s gonna be fire today if I speak,” Salah told reporters after being left on the bench for the clash against West Ham United. HITC reported that the events that occured at the London Stadium underlined Salah’s belief that a move away from Liverpool may well be the best move for the 31-year-old.
Salah’s future
The winger has been a consistent force for Liverpool ever since he moved to Anfield back in 2017 for the bargain price of £34 million. He is arguably one of Liverpool’s greatest ever goalscorers and will be lauded by fans of the Merseyside club forever.
However, with Klopp leaving the club, bringing an end to a memorable nine years at the club, the Egyptian may well be wondering if the time is right to also leave the club.
The ambitious Saudi Pro League, who signed lots of world class players to the club last summer, look set to embark on that challenge yet again and Salah could be the perfect signing.
