There is now uncertainty at Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino’s sudden exit.

The season only finished days ago. Chelsea fans were feeling positive because they had won five games on the bounce and were sixth in the Premier League table.

The only issue was that the noises coming from Mauricio Pochettino weren’t exactly encouraging and those ‘concerns’ became a reality on Tuesday evening.

Chelsea confirmed Pochettino’s exit and that sent shockwaves across the footballing world after he had only been in charge for one season.

The fans were pretty blunt in their response to their manager leaving, but what’s more worrying is the reaction of the players. Nicolas Jackson made his feelings clear.

But this does raise the question as to what now happens ahead of the summer transfer window re-opening and the new manager coming in.

Why exactly has Pochettino left? Did he feel he wasn’t going to get his way in the transfer market? If that’s the case who will leave and who is going to come in?

John Terry expressed on his Instagram story that he was ‘gutted’ to see the exit of Pochettino and his coaching staff.

The legendary defender warned the owners that he hopes ‘we don’t sign or sell any players’ before the new manager arrives.

Lots of names have already been mentioned, including Roberto De Zerbi after he left Brighton.

But Terry was pretty clear in how he felt about Chelsea’s call to part ways with another manager and what could be around the corner.

Life after Mauricio Pochettino for Chelsea

“Gutted to see (Mauricio) Pochettino, (Jesus) Perez and Seb Pochettino leave,” wrote Terry.

“I just hope we don’t sign or sell any players until we get a manager in.”

Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah to leave Chelsea?

If you are a Chelsea fan, then you are going to start to worry about the future of some players and how they could leave.

Conor Gallagher played 50 out of 51 games under Pochettino. He was a regular and a key player.

But, as HITC have already revealed, the owners have been reluctant to hand Gallagher a new contract – his current deal expires in 2025 – and he was, more than likely, going to leave this summer.

You just question whether Pochettino’s exit has anything to do with that because it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the England international leave now, even if he wants to stay.

Then there is someone like Trevoh Chalobah – after being injured for half of the season, he has been excellent since returning and starting.

But Tottenham are seemingly asking if they could sign him. Once again, you feel he is another player who could go, so you aren’t surprised by Pochettino’s call to just walk away.
