Liverpool will feel major disappointment after throwing away a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 away at Aston Villa on Monday night.
The Reds are in the final days of the Jurgen Klopp era ahead of the German’s exit this summer.
Monday saw Liverpool hit the road for the final time under Klopp, travelling to Villa Park to take on Unai Emery’s Champions League-chasing Aston Villa side.
It all started so well for Liverpool as Emiliano Martinez fumbled Harvey Elliott’s ball into his own net inside 90 seconds.
Liverpool were pegged back by a Youri Tielemans goal, but took a 3-1 lead as Cody Gakpo and Jarell Quansah found the net.
Klopp’s men should have been able to see the game out but Villa were able to create chances throughout – and finally took them.
Jhon Duran came off the bench to score twice, admittedly with a fluke for his second, but Villa dragged themselves back from the brink to secure a 3-3 draw.

Jurgen Klopp on Jarell Quansah
This was a frustrating display as Liverpool had the win in the palm of their hands, only to throw it away.
Liverpool’s title hopes have long since faded but nobody wants to see Klopp’s reign end on a rather dull note.
The Reds have a chance to give Klopp an incredible send-off against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on Sunday.
Klopp has one last team selection to make and he may well go with Jarell Quansah in the heart of his defence again.
This has been a real breakthrough season for Quansah and he bagged his first Premier League goal on Monday night.
Klopp has now moved to praise Quansah, telling BBC Sport that he felt Quansah was simply ‘exceptional’ against Villa.
Klopp was happy with how Quansah performed against Ollie Watkins, believing that he played ‘extremely well’.
“Everybody can see, a young fella and he’s happy to play. He played an exceptional game today, trying to play against Ollie Watkins. You can ask that of a lot of centre-backs and they would struggle. He did extremely well. How often he saved our backside in decisive moments. Really nice development and he deserves that now.”
Quansah a nice parting gift for Arne Slot
Quansah played on loan at Bristol Rovers last season, so his rise into the Liverpool first team has been admirable.
Injury woes forced Klopp into using Quansah but he has continued to utilise him on a regular basis this season.
Quansah now seems ready to take the next step forward next season with Klopp now parting and Feyenoord boss Arne Slot expected to come in.
Slot will inherit a Virgil van Dijk who turns 33 this summer; Klopp has enjoyed his prime years at Anfield but Liverpool need the next generation of centre backs coming through.
Quansah could be that player and Slot should be excited to inherit a centre back who has shown real potential in his first Premier League campaign.
Ibrahima Konate’s injury history and Joel Matip’s expiring contract mean Liverpool need somebody to step up moving forward and Quansah is showing that he can be the man.
