Alexander Isak was the star of the show at St. James’ Park, as Newcastle United hammered Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Newcastle United may not even get a UEFA Europa Conference League spot.

Newcastle’s season has been disappointing, while Spurs have a lot to play for between now and the end of the campaign.

However, it was Eddie Howe’s side who emerged victorious in the Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.

Newcastle hammered Tottenham 4-0 in front of their fans. Alexander Isak scored two goals, first on the half-hour mark and then in the 51st minute.

Bruno Guimaraes provided the assist for Isak’s second goal. The £33.3 million (Sky Sports) Brazil international released Isak, who is on the radar of Arsenal, to get his effort past Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

It was perfect timing from Isak, who praised Bruno for his assist and performance in the game.

The midfielder was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park and produced yet another remarkable display.

Alexander Isak gives verdict on Newcastle United teammate Bruno Guimaraes

Isak about Bruno’s assist on TNT Sports: “He is excellent in all phases of the pitch. There was one time in the first half I went deep and he played it short, but then we saw they have the high back line, so for me it is about timing the runs and staying onside, then waiting for the pass to arrive.”

Newcastle United have to keep hold of Bruno Guimaraes

In my opinion, Newcastle United have to keep hold of Bruno Guimaraes and try their best to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.

HITC revealed in March that Bruno is frustrated with how Newcastle’s season has panned out. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been scouting him.

Bruno is 26 now and his best years are ahead of him. If Newcastle are to establish themselves as regulars in the top four of the Premier League table, then they have to keep players such as Bruno.
