Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Newcastle United have all end talks about one of the most successful midfielders of the modern era – and the man himself has left the door ajar regarding a potential summer move to the Premier League.
If you want to add some elite-level experience to your squad, while straying clear of a potentially eye-watering transfer fee, then look no further.
It is not often a player with six league titles on his CV – and a further 16 trophies in total for club and country – is available for nothing. But with the short-term contract he signed in 2023 expiring at the end of June, and with at least 25 per cent of the clubs in England’s top flight showing an interest, this is already shaping up to be another summer of heavy speculation for Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot.
And it’s not as if the Frenchman, one of the most decorated footballer’s of his generation, is doing much to silence those rumours either.

Arsenal and Liverpool in Adrien Rabiot race
HITC Football understands that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Newcastle United have all been in touch with Rabiot’s representatives. Ditto Manchester United, a side who tried and failed to sign the former Man City youngster in each of the last two summers.
Rabiot, in quotes reported by Football Italia, is refusing to rule out extending his stay in Turin. But he is not closing the door on a move away either, having signed only a one-year deal in 2023 in order to keep his options open.
“I have not decided anything regarding my future,” says Rabiot, who won five Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain and has also claimed the Scudetto with Juventus. “It is true that last season I remained at Juventus knowing full well that we wouldn’t participate in European competition. That was my choice.
“Next season we are due to participate in the Champions League and the Club World Cup. So these are elements in my thoughts. But I have not made any decisions yet.”
“I must reflect carefully, seeing as I am reaching an important age in my career. I feel at my peak and it will be important to make the right choice. It is best to make a decision before the Euros, so I can focus on that.”
‘World-class’ midfielder available for free
Rabiot, HITC Football understands, is also on Bayern Munich’s radar. The Bundesliga giants have raided Juventus on numerous occasions in the recent past, bringing in Douglas Costa, Matthijs de Ligt and Kingsley Coman.
Rabiot, who scored a career-best 11 goals last term, could help Bayern move on from Joshua Kimmich should the unsettled midfielder also pursue a fresh start. One club Rabiot has ruled out joining, however, is his former employers PSG.
“Since I went to Juve, every year my name gets linked with PSG,” the 28-year-old adds. “On the one hand, it’s flattering. But considering the way things ended there, it seems unlikely. I can never close the door completely to anything, but this will not be my priority.”
Rabiot, described as a ‘world-class’ talent by former Juve hero David Trezeguet, could potentially fulfil the same role as Granit Xhaka should he opt to join Arsenal, driving forward from the left-side of midfield.
