Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth and Celtic are just a host of clubs following Portuguese forward Jota Silva, HITC understands.

The 24-year-old Vitoria Guimaraes attacker has enjoyed a break-out season for his club – which has earned him a call-up to the national squad.

Jota Silva joined Vitoria from Casa Pia in the summer of 2022, but this season has really seen him emerge as a real star.

So far, he has claimed nine goals and six assists from 25 games – playing mainly as the right side of a front three.

HITC have been told half of Premier League teams have watched the player, including Gary O’Neil’s Wolves, as well as English Championship duo Leicester City and Southampton, and Scottish champions, Celtic

Portugal, who are managed by Roberto Martinez, will take on Sweden in an international friendly on Thursday night, followed by an away clash against Slovenia.

Jota Silva will be hoping to earn his first caps for his country during these matches and further boost his profile across Europe.

Pedro Neto’s future at Wolves

If Silva does secure a transfer in the summer, then he might not be the only Portuguese winger moving when the window re-opens.

Sources have told HITC Football that Wolves won’t stand in Pedro Neto’s way if he wants to leave this summer, but they want a club-record fee for his talents.

Liverpool, who will have a new manager at the helm next season, and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, are the two clubs expressing interest.

As of this moment, the 24-year-old is once again on the sidelines with an injury, but he is hoping to make a return before the season is out.
