Tottenham Hotspur spent around £20 million on bringing one of Europe’s brightest talents to the Premier League – and now the Ange Postecoglou favourite may be worth almost three times that amount.
Or, at least, that is the view of Transfer Room, a facility which prides itself on helping ‘clubs, agents and players be successful in the transfer market’ by providing ‘real-time market intelligence’ and enough data to keep Marcelo Bielsa busy for a fortnight.
The annual Transfer Room summit has been taking place over in Rome during the last few days, and one of the men present was Stefano Antonelli.

Destiny Udogie is a big hit at Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur supporters may know him as the man who helped bring Destiny Udogie to North London, the Italy international joining in a £21 million deal back in 2022 before returning to Udinese on loan and eventually arriving in the English capital 12 months later.
“He plays in the Premier League, which is the most important championship in the world,” Antonelli tells Tuttomercatoweb of Udogie, who’s athleticism and tactical flexibility has made him a fitting posterboy of the Postecoglou era.
“He is a starter at Tottenham at 22-years-old. I read that for Transfer Room, he worth 59 million euros (£50 million), a figure resulting from the algorithms.
“He is an important player. So far, he’s started 24 games and is doing well.”
Udogie still has a few kinks in his game. The odd defensive calamity is never too far away, Brentford one of the clubs to benefit from Udogie’s penchant for switching off at crucial moments. Then again, Tottenham did not buy the former Inter Milan and Juventus target for the player he is today but for the player he may become.
And there can be no doubting the progress Udogie has made under Postecoglou, fellow Serie A import Guglielmo Vicario labelling his young team-mate ‘one of the best left-backs in the Premier League but also the world’.
‘One of the best in the world’
Udogie picked up his first of two Italy caps in 2023. More will be on the way too, with the youngster looking to nail down a starting spot under Luciano Spalletti ahead of this summer’s European Championships on German soil.
“From what I know, Udogie has been watched live by Spalletti and (assistant Daniele) Baldini at least eight times,” Antonelli adds.
“England is two hours away by plane.”
