Perhaps the biggest game of the season awaits everyone on Sunday when Liverpool welcome Premier League title rivals Manchester City to Anfield.
Given that Jurgen Klopp will be leaving at the end of the season, this just might be the final time he pits his tactical brain against his greatest-ever rival, Pep Guardiola.
On Wednesday night, Manchester City breezed through to the quarter-final stages of the Champions League after beating Copenhagen 6-2 on aggregate.
Both Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards were doing punditry for CBS when the Liverpool legend proceeded to ask what Manchester City’s record is like at Anfield.
The former Manchester City player responded correctly by saying that Pep Guardiola has only won there ‘once in 9’, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (06/03/24 at 10:20 pm).
But Jamie Carragher was keen to remind his colleague that the solitary win came when there was ’no crowd’ during the COVID season.
Micah Richards then responded by saying ‘Ooh, you want to go there’, before they had a bet with one another, buying each other a suit, if the opposite number wins the titanic battle.
Many feel, a victory for either side here, will be the marker that they will go on to win English football’s biggest crown, with Arsenal still tagging behind.

“Man City are in a good run of form, at this moment in time and long may it continue,” said Richards after their win in the Champions League.
“The next couple of weeks Liverpool, Newcastle and the Arsenal,” added the former right-back.
Richards is then asked if Pep Guardiola has ever won at Anfield by Carragher: “Once. We did the stats, didn’t we?! I can’t remember when it was. It was once in 9. Three or four draws as well.”
Carragher then reminded his fellow pundit: “One with no crowd.”
Richards responded: “Ooooh, you want to go there?!” to which Carragher added ‘Oh, I am going there.’
Richards added: “You almost are like this already?!”
Arsenal could go top
By the time Liverpool and Man City face off, there could be a new leader aboard the Premier League table.
Arsenal, who are just scoring goals for fun this season, take on Brentford during the evening kick-off on Saturday.
What is interesting here is that Mikel Arteta’s side steamrolling teams of late are now at their advantage because they have a much better goal difference than their rivals.
After 27 matches, Arsenal are on +45, with Liverpool at +39 and Manchester City 10 behind, so that in itself, feels like an extra point.
