Chelsea could do with taking a leaf out of Arsenal’s book and sticking by Mauricio Pochettino amid their current struggles.
During the first few years of Mikel Arteta’s reign at the Emirates, the team finished outside of Europe on two occasions and people were questioning their style of play.
But the powers that be stuck by their manager and now they are pushing for the Premier League title, whilst Chelsea are struggling in the bottom half of the table.
Amid the gulf in class between Arsenal and Chelsea, Darren Bent was asked which players from Stamford Bridge would get into Mikel Arteta’s XI.
The former striker put forward the names of left-back Ben Chilwell and right-back Reece James, as he told talkSPORT.
Both are European Cup winners, but during these last few years, they haven’t been able to stay away from the treatment room and it has damaged their progression.
At least Ben Chilwell is back on the pitch, for his partner in crime, it’s more injury woe as he has only played 24 Premier League matches since the start of last season.
Despite that, when at their best, everyone has seen what they are capable of and Darren Bent thinks they would make Arsenal’s team.
Ben Chilwell and Reece James at Arsenal
“Left-back Chilwell when he is fully fit maybe,” said Bent.
On Reece James: “If he is fully fit and he can guarantee you a full season, then maybe. But you expect these Chelsea players, at some point, to come good. They have to.
“They are miles behind challenging for the league, but they haven’t won the league for a while.”

Ben White performances
In truth, someone like White deserves more respect because he has been outstanding at right-back, even though he started his Arsenal career as a centre-back.
At left-back, nobody moans about the attacking play of Oleksandr Zinchenko, his issues lie when he is defending.
But, in terms of a balance of both, White has nailed it and is probably one of the most underrated players in the Premier League right now.
Whilst the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and William Saliba deserve praise, you feel a player like White also needs to be talked about a lot more.
