Pedro Porro might not have featured for Tottenham Hotspur during their win over Crystal Palace.
But the injured right-back was watching on from the touchline and enjoying his teammate’s showcase their magic.
Even though Tottenham dominated possession, they struggled to break down a resilient and defensive-minded Crystal Palace side.
It would have been annoying for the fans when Eberechi Eze opened the scoring with a wonderful free-kick, but that’s when the comeback started, including a goal from Cristian Romero.
The hard-hitting centre-back is a very popular player with his supporters and it certainly meant a lot to him when he headed in his side’s second of the game.
But Pedro Porro is probably his biggest fan right now because he was sure to give his teammates his flowers on Instagram after the match.
Whilst expressing his delight at the three points, which boosted the team’s Champions League hopes, he also sent this message to Cristian Romero.
The best centre-back in the world
“3 points + N17 + The best centre back in the world,” wrote Porro on IG.
Tottenham’s trip to Aston Villa
Spurs are currently five points behind Unai Emery’s side, but they have a game in hand, which is against Chelsea.
They will be well aware that nothing but a win is needed at Villa Park on Sunday, or else, their chances of finishing in the top four will decrease.
With Manchester United losing yet another game, they are now even further behind the two.
That will become very relevant if that fifth spot opens up for Champions League football, and in truth, both Villa and Spurs should secure those places, it’s just a case of who fits in where.
