- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are among the clubs who are interested in Festy Ebosele, HITC understands.
Festy Ebosele is one of the best young players in Italy and is playing regularly for Udinese at the moment.
Festy Ebosele is rated very highly
Ebosele can operate as a right-back or right wing-back and has made 19 starts and five substitute appearances in Serie A this season.
The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland international made four starts and 13 substitute appearances in Serie A for Udinese last season.
Ebosele moved to Italian club Udinese from English outfit Derby County in the summer of 2022 and has progressed well.

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney managed Ebosele when he was in charge of Derby, and he rates him highly.
DerbyShireLive quoted Rooney as saying about Ebosele in March 2022: “I said a few months ago he can be a superstar, he can be what he wants. He really needs to keep his focus, his concentration, and keep learning to develop.
“Just by sheer pace and power alone he has got something which every player wants. The next part of that is the details, which I talk about after games. Details to his game. If he gets them right, he can go right to the top.
Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United want Festy Ebosele
HITC understands that Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are among a number of sides taking a keen interest in the progress of the Republic of Ireland international right wing-back.
Sources have told us that Tottenham, who are not worried about Ange Postecoglou being tempted away by Liverpool at the end of the season, are looking across Europe for wing-back prospects as they believe they lack depth in their squad behind first-choice pairing Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.
Having landed Udogie from Udinese, they are now looking at another of their young players in the shape of Obosele. Udogie has been a star for Spurs this season.
Obosele is also an attractive option for Spurs and other Premier League suitors as he qualifies as a homegrown player – having been with Derby from 2018 until 2022 after joining from League of Ireland First Division club Bray Wanderers.
HITC understands that a number of English clubs other than Tottenham have watched Obosele this season. They include Everton, West Ham United, Southampton and Leeds, who are aiming to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Udinese’s sister club Watford are also understood to be fans of Obosele, who has played twice for the Republic of Ireland national football team.
