Steve Nicol says Arsenal transfer target Pedro Neto will leave Wolves in the summer after his most recent performance against Tottenham.

The 23-year-old is one of the best wingers in the Premier League, but has constantly been hit with injuries and has been unable to hit the absolute top levels.

But on Saturday, Pedro Neto showcased what he is all about when he downed Tottenham in their own backyard, with Steve Nicol labelling his performance as ‘breathtaking’, as he told ESPN.

Sources have already told HITC Football that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have scouted the all-action forward this season, alongside Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Wolves have proven before that they are a selling club, with HITC also being told that the Midlands side are willing to let their key player leave, but only for a club-record amount.

Steve Nicol is in no doubt that Pedro Neto will leave in the summer and there is ’no way’ his current club manage to keep him.

Of course, all of this then stems down to whether interested parties would be willing to put big money down on a table for a player who hasn’t played in the Champions League and will probably be sold for an inflated price.

Will Pedro Neto leave Wolves?

“Neto was absolutely fantastic,” said Nicol. “Wolves on the break were just breathtaking, especially Neto.

“It seems there is no way this guy is going to be at Wolves next season. Wolves take bids for players. They move players on. Neto, for me, seems the next one in line.”

Pedro Neto at Arsenal

Bukayo Saka dominates that right-hand side for Arsenal and nothing is going to take him out of the XI, not even Neto.

But you still need squad depth, especially if in Arsenal’s case you are pushing for every single trophy possible.

Not forgetting that many have had a moan that Saka plays too much, so it would be perfect to have a player like Neto chopping and changing with him.

Added to that, he can play on the left-hand side as well, so he can cause damage from all parts of the pitch.
