Alan Pardew has given his verdict on Arsenal target Pedro Neto after watching him in action against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The former Newcastle United manager does not think that Wolverhampton Wanderers will be able to keep hold of Neto, who is on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool.

So, what has Alan Pardew said about Arsenal target Pedro Neto? Let’s take a look.

Alan Pardew praises Arsenal target and Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto

Well, Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this past Saturday.

Pedro Neto was one of the best players on the pitch. The winger provided the assist for Joao Gomes’s second goal in the 63rd minute.

Former West Ham United manager Alan Pardew was hugely impressed by the manner in which Neto gave the assist.

The talkSPORT pundit has raved about the winger, and he does not think that he will be at Wolves beyond the end of the season.

As HITC revealed last week, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Neto in the summer transfer window. Wolves are willing to sell the winger, but they want as much as £60 million for him.

Pardew said about Neto on talkSPORT (8:26 pm, February 18, 2024): “When I was at Palace, we had Zaha and you knew that you could play quite a deep, disciplined game, knowing that he was always going to be a threat, and that have got that with Neto, of course, Wolves, they have that great luxury of someone with amazing pace who can go past people, right at the end of a 60-yard sprint.

“Because that skill at the end is not easy to do when you are sprinting as hard and fast as he had for so long. He is an exceptional player which I think they will be lucky to hold onto, Wolves, in the summer.”

My View: Pedro Neto would make Arsenal better

In my opinion, Pedro Neto would be a very good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window. I think that the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger would make the Gunners better and more potent.

Neto is a very versatile attacking player. The Portugal international can play as a right winger, down the middle as a centre-forward, on the left wing and in central attacking midfield.

He is 23 now, so he is still very young. I think that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could make Neto better, just as he has developed Martin Odegaard.

Neto has made 15 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Wolves this season. He has scored two goals and given nine assists in those games.
