HITC understands that West Ham owner David Sullivan is yet to be convinced whether to hand a new contract to manager David Moyes.
Sullivan is frustrated with numerous issues at the club, both on and off-the-field.

West Ham are challenging for a top-eight finish and are into the last 16 of the Europa League, but it has not been straightforward with some home fans boisterous in their displeasure at the style of play.
It is believed Sullivan would ideally like to keep Moyes, but he knows their is resistance from within the club and Sunday’s historic 6-0 loss Arsenal will not help the ‘keep Moyes’ campaign in anyway.
Historic loss
The defeat at the London Stadium, their heaviest at their new home, is the worst result in Hammers history since 1963.
Moyes was apologetic but he is maintains an optimism that he will get a new deal, but as well as the performances, there are major off-field issues surrounding the Scot and his future.
HITC understand Sullivan is growing increasingly frustrated with both Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten – as ongoing issues have seen them miss out on numerous deals in January.
HITC can reveal that more than half-a-dozen deals were set-up but failed to materialise as the two camps at the London Stadium did not agree on the moves.
A move for Ismaila Sarr broke down on deadline day, whilst possible deals in the window for Stephen Bergwijn, Marcos Leonardo, Ibrahim Osman, Jota, Hugo Ekitike and Armando Broja did not go through and sources believe that was down to issues within the club’s hierarchy.
Comments
HITC also understands that Moyes’s comments at the end of the window about Steidten also did not sit well with the club.
He told the Evening Standard on deadline day: “Tim’s German and they’ve got it all done, tools down early, all the stuff done whereas we’re last minute. He’s probably struggling to get used to our culture.
“The culture here is lots of deals at the end and the supporters hoping for a last-minute deal. Maybe this window there will be but at the moment it’s not as if it’s been a huge window for anybody.”
So, whilst Sullivan is pleased with some aspects at the club like being able to bring in the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Kalvin Phillips and the fact they are competing at the right end of the table, he believes things have to get better has told his senior staff that things cannot and will not continue as they are.
Whilst Steidten only arrived this summer, he is already being linked with a potential exit due to the issues that have arisen. Moyes for his part is hoping to sign a new deal at West Ham, with his current contract due to expire in the summer.
