Roy Keane has given his verdict on the performance of Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard against David Moyes’s West Ham United.
The Manchester United legend has noted that West Ham failed to stop Odegaard from playing his natural game.
So, what has Roy Keane said about Martin Odegaard? Let’s take a look.
Martin Odegaard stars for Arsenal vs West Ham United
Well, Arsenal took on West Ham United away from home at London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal headed into the London derby as favourites and were expected to win, but not many would have predicted Mikel Arteta’s side to hammer West Ham.
That is exactly what happened, and one of the players who did well for Arsenal in the Premier League game on Sunday was Martin Odegaard, who is rated highly by Thierry Henry.

The £30 million (Sky Sports) Norway international playmaker gave two assists, one for Leandro Trossard’s goal in first-half injury time and the second for Bukayo Saka on 63 minutes.
Manchester United legend Roy Keane was following the match for Sky Sports, and he noted at half time that West Ham could do nothing to stop Odegaard from weaving his magic in the middle of the park. Arsenal were 4-0 up at the break.
Keane said on Sky Sports Premier League (3 pm, February 11, 2024): “The first half an hour was a bit cagey obviously.
“The goals they have given away, they have not been physical, they have not been tackling, Odegaard, nobody has laid a glove on him.”
Big win for Arsenal
The win against West Ham United in the London derby was massive for Arsenal in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.
Manchester City beat Everton on Saturday afternoon, and just hours later, Liverpool won against Burnley at Anfield.
So, the pressure was on Arsenal, who needed to win against West Ham United to make sure that they kept pace with the Reds and the Citizens.
