- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Paris Saint-Germain are keen on Newcastle United pairing Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes, HITC Football understands.
After a costly summer for Newcastle United in terms of expenditure, the Geordie side are coming to terms with Profit and Sustainability issues, which prevented them from making any signings in January.
HITC sources can confirm that as a result of these issues, one of their key players may well be forced to leave the club. Sven Botman, Alexander Isak, or Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes could be those in the shop window.
However, sources have confirmed that the most likely player to leave out of this trio is the Brazilian midfielder Guimaraes with the former Lyon star already attracting plenty of interest.

Guimaraes interest
Since moving the club in the midst of the clubs relegation battle in the 2021-2022 season, the Brazilian midfielder has been an outstanding addition to the Geordie midfield and was rewarded with a new contract for his efforts.
However, this good form has seen him attract interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, whilst in the Premier League, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the Brazilian.
Despite this, HITC can reveal that PSG, managed by Luis Enrique, are willing to throw their hat in the ring for the Brazilian star this summer and it can also be revealed that Guimaraes’ good friend Joelinton is also attracting interest from the French giants.
The pair in midfield for Newcastle have been vital with Joelinton’s position change down to a midfielder bringing the best out of the former Hoffenheim striker.
Joelinton future
HITC has previously reported that the Brazilian midfielder may well be one of the names on the chopping block this summer with the serious injury he suffered against Sunderland potentially being his last appearance for the club.
Joelinton is out of contract at Newcastle in 2025 but contract talks have stalled and boss Eddie Howe admitted that he could be sold this summer if no new deal is agreed.
Selling both Guimaraes and Joelinton this summer would free-up Newcastle financially to invest in their squad without FFP worries.
