Garth Crooks has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison after watching him in action against Brentford and Everton.
The former Tottenham forward and BBC Sport pundit was impressed by Richarlison and has noted how the Brazil international has changed for the better.
So, what has Garth Crooks said about Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison
Well, Garth Crooks has been raving about Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison.
The former Tottenham forward has included the £50 million (Sky Sports) Brazil international in his BBC Premier League Team of the Week.
Crooks has noted how well Richarlison played against Brentford and Everton and has highlighted how respectful he was towards the Goodison Park faithful.
The 26-year-old scored in Tottenham’s 3-2 win against Brentford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League last week.
The former Watford striker found the back of the net twice for Spurs against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League this past weekend.
Richarlison has made 15 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham last season. He has scored 10 goals and given three assists in those games.

Crooks told BBC Sport about Richarlison: “Tottenham and Everton fans will know that Richarlison is not one of my favourite players. In the past he has been petulant, complaining and dramatic, bordering on infantile, but since the departure of Son Heung-min to the Asian Cup the Brazilian has shown a side to himself I didn’t think he possessed.
“His goal, not to mention his performance in the 3-2 win against Brentford, was outstanding while his conduct having scored two goals in the 2-2 draw at Everton four days later was as respectful as I have seen from any footballer towards a former club.
“Not only did Richarlison recognise the significance of the goals, but the devastating effect it may have on Everton’s future. To put his hands together and bow in an apologetic gesture to the Gwladys Street End was about as respectful as it gets.”
My View: Richarlison is an important player for Tottenham Hotspur
In my view, Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has established himself as an important player for the North London club.
The Brazilian star is playing regularly now and is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Richarlison is starting matches, scoring goals, making an impact, and linking up well with his fellow Tottenham attackers.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
I believe that Richarlison will have to continue to play well for Tottenham to be successful in their quest.
