In Manchester United’s time of need, it’s their young guns that are coming to town and helping the team push forward again.
In recent weeks, previously struggling striker Rasmus Hojlund is starting to prove why Manchester United paid so much money for him in the summer.
The 21-year-old has scored in four consecutive Premier League games, but he is joined to the party by teenager, Alejandro Garnacho.
Even though the 19-year-old netted a brace against West Ham on Sunday, Ian Wright was critical of the winger and stated that he does the ‘same thing all the time’, as he told Premier League Productions (04/02/24 at 3:55 pm).
The former striker did make sure to highlight that Alejandro Garnacho is a ‘highly confident’ player and is looking like ‘quite a dangerous prospect’ for Manchester United.
But he just thinks that the Argentine can do much better with the ball and it would then help improve his game.
Alejandro Garnacho’s brace v West Ham
“A lot of people saying about his impact when he does come off, but I do find that when he is playing, then he does the same thing all the time,” said Wright.
“He is trying to take people on. He is having shots when sometimes I think he could pass it.
“But, in this instance, West Ham, they have given Man United so much time and so much space. So many mistakes. Maybe he should show him down the line, when he does come back, then you have to defend that and wipe that shot off. He then gets his deflection and he has got his bit of luck. At the same time, they made it quite easy for him.
“In respect of Garnacho, he is somebody that is highly confident, great pace and an eye for goal. With the structure of Man United now, they look like quite a dangerous prospect.”

Manchester United consistency
The aim for Man United now is to keep this run going and climb the table, so they can keep up their hopes of securing Champions League football.
It’s a trip to Villa Park next. Unai Emery’s men have only suffered one Premier League defeat in nearly 12 months on home soil, so this isn’t going to be an easy task.
But those Man United players will be fully aware that three points against the Midlands side will really send out a signal to the rest and offer them with that extra boost during the final months of the campaign.
As things stand, they are eight points behind Villa, and if they lose on Sunday, then they can kiss goodbye to play against Europe’s elite next season.
