Roy Keane has given his verdict on the goal that Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund scored against David Moyes’s West Ham United at Old Trafford.

The Manchester United legend has also noted a change in Hojlund.

So, what has Roy Keane said about Rasmus Hojlund? Let’s take a look.

Rasmus Hojlund stars for Manchester United vs West Ham United

Well, Manchester United beat West Ham United 3-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Rasmus Hojlund scored the opening goal of the match. The £64 million (Sky Sports) forward found the back of the net in the 23rd minute.

Casemiro intercepted the ball and fed it to Hojlund, who took a few touches to set himself up and then fired home.

Alejandro Garnacho made it 2-0 to the Red Devils in the 49th minute and added to his tally on 84 minutes.

The goal against West Ham was Hojlund’s fourth in the Premier League in as many games.

Hojlund took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 68.4%, won two headers, took 31 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, and put in one cross.

Roy Keane gives his verdict

Manchester United legend Roy Keane was following the match for Sky Sports, and he was hugely impressed by Hojlund, and so was ex-West Ham midfielder Don Hutchison.

Keane said about Hojlund on Sky Sports Premier League (4:04 pm, February 4, 2024): “I think this is a brilliant goal. Really comes on to his weaker side, he sells a dummy, he is playing with confidence, he has obviously got a smile on his face, he has settled into the club really well in the last few games, he is putting the ball into the back of the net, very good.”

Hutchinson said on Premier League Productions about Hojlund: “He’s got the intelligence here to take it away from the two centre-backs onto his right foot. That’s a brilliant finish.”

Rasmus Hojlund is starting to make an impact for Manchester United now and is scoring important goals.

The 21-year-old Denmark international striker is getting the ball in the right areas, and that is why he has been banging in the goals recently.

There is a lot more to come from Hojlund. The young striker needs to continue to work hard and his United teammates should play to his strengths.

The Denmark international is playing with confidence now, and maybe, just maybe, he could score the goals that would lead Manchester United to the Premier League top four this season.
