Norwich City wide man Przemyslaw Placheta is on his way to sign for Swansea City ahead of the January transfer deadline.

HITC Football understands that Swansea City have agreed a deal with Norwich City for Polish international Przemyslaw Placheta.

Placheta is moving to South Wales on a permanent deal with just a few months left on his Norwich deal.

The Polish winger is out of contract at the end of the season and will now move on to Swansea.

Placheta will replace experienced winger Yannick Bolasie, who was released earlier in the window.

Who is Swansea City target Przemyslaw Placheta?

Placheta emerged in his native Poland with LKS Lodz and Polonia Warsaw, where his talent was spotted by RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga side lured Placheta to Germany and put him in their youth ranks for two years at the age of 17.

Placheta dropped into Germany’s third tier with Sonnenhof Grossaspach and then returned to Poland with Pogon Siedlce in the second tier.

The speedy wide man had to rebuild his career and did so with a 2018 move to Podbeskidzie, where his impressive goalscoring form caught the eye of Slask Wroclaw in 2019.

After 35 games and eight goals for Slask, Norwich City pounced in January 2020 with the Canaries paying around £2million.

Placheta haș racked up 61 appearances for Norwich but has only managed two goals and four assists in that time.

After an injury-hit loan spell at Birmingham City last season, Placheta has made 16 Championship appearances this season, recording one assist.

Now ready for a fresh start ahead of his contract ending, Placheta will head to Swansea and look to shine enough to add to his tally of seven caps for Poland.
