Nottingham Forest have finalised an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for American star Gio Reyna, HITC understands.
HITC revealed Nottingham Forest‘s bid for Reyna earlier this month and then revealed that they had confidence they would seal the deal.
Now, the transfer has been agreed between the two clubs – the deal is a loan until the end of the season with an option. Forest will pay a loan fee and if it becomes permanent will be worth around £20million to Dortmund.
20-year-old midfielder Reyna, who has already agreed terms with Forest, has been limited to just one start for Dortmund this season and he was anxious to find a new club this month.
Jorge Mendes
Forest have been working hard to land Reyna, who was also wanted by Marseille and Sevilla – but he is heading to the City Ground with boss Nuno Espirito Santo pushing hard to get a deal done.
The fact Jorge Mendes, Nuno’s agent and close friend, is Reyna’s agent – is understood to have helped Forest secure the deal.
Sunderland-born Reyna is due to fly into England on Wednesday ahead of putting pen-to-paper with Forest.

Sporting deal
Forest are set to be one of the most active sides in the closing days of the window, as HITC confirmed, and another deal that is close to being completed is for Sporting Lisbon teenager Rodrigo Ribeiro.
The 18-year-old, who has played a handful of first-team games, is a Portuguese youth international and he will arrive on loan with an option to make the deal permanent for around £10million.
Forest are also making room in their squad and the club are allowing midfielder Orel Mangala to join Lyon in a deal that is set to be worth £30million.
