Premier League giants Arsenal are huge fans of Dusan Vlahovic and the striker’s former Fiorentina coach thinks he boasts some ‘talents’ that even Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe cannot match.
For all the skills both Haaland and Mbappe possess – the former the most naturally-gifted goalscorer of his generation and the latter a fearsome mix of speed and finesse – free-kicks are not really in their wheelhouse.
You certainly cannot say the same of a striker who remains on Arsenal’s radar, two years after The Gunners missed out following his £70 million move from Fiorentina to Juventus, HITC Football understands.
Dusan Vlahovic had already produced one Goal of the Season contender when he rattled home a long-range stunner during Juve’s 3-0 hammering of Sassuolo last week. The Serbian international then followed that up with something even greater, a fierce free-kick that would not look out of place in a compilation of David Beckham’s best efforts.
Arsenal remain keen on Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic

After a difficult first full season in Turin, Vlahovic has been a man in formidable form of late.
And, with eight goals and assists in his last four starts, his former Fiorentina coach is backing Vlahovic to belatedly establish himself alongside Haaland and Mbappe in the pinnacle of world football.
“I always said that there was nothing to worry about. He just had to get back to training well and consistently. His groin pain severely limited him. Now, he’s back to scoring goals and he’s doing it well too,” Beppe Iachini tells TuttoJuve.
“Plus he’s feeling the trust of Max (Allegri, Juventus manager), of the coaching staff, of the fans. I’m happy that he is showing his qualities.
“Dusan is only 23-years-old and there is still ample room for him to improve more and more. He has the right mindset. He is someone who trains really well.”
The Gunners are lacking a top centre-forward
HITC has been informed that in stark contrast to the summer – when Juventus were open to offers – the Serie A challengers are now hoping to tie Vlahovic down to a new contract. Former Bianconeri ace Luca Toni feels that, even if Arsenal were to submit an offer in the region of 100 million euros, Juve should slam down the shutters and slap a ‘not for sale’ sign on their star striker’s head.
“(Haaland and Mbappe) are two young, well-structured guys who still have ample room for improvement,” Iachini adds. “(But) Haaland also has some flaws. He’s not that perfect. Dusan isn’t so far away from becoming the best in the world, given that they don’t possess his talent in many (areas).”
Arsenal have also been linked with Brentford’s Ivan Toney amid concerns over a lack of goals from Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka. HITC can play down reports linking Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Getafe’s Borja Mayoral with a move to Mikel Arteta’s side, however.
