A round-up of the latest transfer gossip from around Europe with West Ham United close to securing a loan transfer for midfielder Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.

The Hammers are on the verge of adding the 28-year-old to their club as David Moyes bids to bolster his side. West Ham have chased a temporary transfer for Phillips as Pep Guardiola has only awarded him 89 minutes from four Premier League appearances so far this season.

Phillips has also not featured in the top-flight since Manchester City beat AFC Bournemouth on November 4. He has spent their past nine and 12 of their last 13 Premier League fixtures on Guardiola’s bench. Each of his appearances yet this term have also come as a substitute.

An agreement is now close between Manchester City and West Ham about the loan transfer of Phillips. The Daily Mail reports that the Irons are increasingly optimistic about signing the midfielder for the rest of this season. Phillips is also open to the idea of going to West Ham.

The arrival of Radu Dragusin may not stop Tottenham Hotspur from targeting the transfer of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer. The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are still tracking the Toffees gem, whom Chelsea have now registered an interest in singing, as well.

Manchester United have offered Jadon Sancho and Antony to Saudi Pro League clubs in the interest of recouping some of the £155m they paid on their transfers. The Evening Standard adds Red Devils chiefs now hope Sancho’s loan spell at Borussia Dortmund boosts his value.

Talks between Newcastle United and Al-Shabab over the transfer of Miguel Almiron are due to continue, per The Telegraph. The Toon have also identified Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White as a potential replacement for the Paraguayan but a deal will be hard.

Newcastle could also sell Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes, while Callum Wilson might target a transfer away, The Telegraph adds. Wilson has grown unsettled about his long-term future at St James’ Park, sparking interest from Atletico Madrid and AC Milan in the striker’s move.

AC Milan are set to revive their interest in a transfer for Arsenal and Aston Villa centre-backs Jakub Kiwior and Clement Lenglet, per Calciomercato. Kiwior is also now pushing for a move away from the Gunners as he longs to play more regularly than Mikel Arteta is allowing him.

San Siro chiefs are also interested in the transfer of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham whilst AC Milan target new centre-backs. But Sky Sports notes that any move is more likely for July as his contract expires this summer. Adarabioyo could also yet sign a new contract for Fulham.

Newcastle have slapped an asking price of £11-12m on Kieran Trippier to fend off interest in his transfer from Bayern Munich. According to Sky Germany, the Toon would also accept the fee as an obligation in a loan. Talks are also ongoing as Der FCB do not want to pay a big fee.

Nottingham Forest are open to selling Joe Worrall for the right sum amid transfer interest at Sheffield United, per TEAMtalk. Blades boss Chris Wilder is keen to sign a centre-half and he believes Worrall could play a key role at Bramall Lane during the remainder of the campaign.

Aston Villa and West Ham are fighting over the transfer of Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa this January, per Calciomercato. But the claret-and-blue sides face an asking price of €25m (£21.5m). The striker is also attracting the interest of AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Roma.

West Ham are also interested in signing the former Celtic winger Jota from Al Ittihad, claims Sky Sports. But the 24-year-old will have to accept a huge pay cut from his £200k-a-week wage to move to London Stadium. He left the Hoops for the Saudi Pro League last summer.

The Irons could also let Said Benrahma leave London Stadium this month if West Ham seal a transfer for Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman. Sky Sports also reports that the Hammers are pushing for a left-sided attacker. Osman is currently in the USA in a warm-weather camp.

Nottingham Forest have rejected an approach from Feyenoord for the loan transfer of Neco Williams, reports Sky Sports. City Ground chiefs are currently reluctant to let the full-back go in January as new boss Nuno Espirito Santo has shown early trust in the ex-Liverpool talent.

Watford are due to host Emmanuel Dennis for a medical ahead of a return to Vicarage Road on loan from Nottingham Forest. Per The Athletic, the Hornets are set to re-sign the striker – currently at Istanbul Basaksehir – for the rest of this term without the option to buy Dennis.
