Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji amid claims that he could be on the move in January.
Tottenham splashed out on a new winger on transfer deadline day, bringing Brennan Johnson to North London.
Yet with Son Heung-min often playing up front this season and Bryan Gil yet to really prove himself in the Premier League, Spurs could target another winger.
A number of players are being linked with Spurs and another exciting name can now be added to the list…
Tottenham Hotspur keen on Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji
90min now report that Tottenham are one of a host of clubs interested in signing Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji.
It’s stated that Tottenham have held talks with intermediaries in an attempt to set up a deal for Bardghji.
Copenhagen are reportedly ready to sell Bardghji in January but there is one major problem for Spurs; the number of Premier League rivals also interested in Bardghji.
Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester United and Newcastle United are thought to have held talks just like Tottenham.
Chelsea are showing the strongest interest right now and hope to thrash out a deal which would see Bardghji join in the summer – just like Christopher Nkunku did.
Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Marseille, Monaco, Napoli and PSV Eindhoven are also interested, so Tottenham face a real fight.
Who is Spurs target Bardghji?
Bardghji was born in Kuwait to a Syrian family but moved over to Sweden at a young age.
The winger spent time with Malmo before heading to Denmark with Copenhagen in 2020.
Bardghji is now a first-team player at Copenhagen and he has dazzled this season with 11 goals in 30 games.
Capable of playing up front, Bardghji is a left-footer with enormous potential and Tottenham could now pounce.
One interesting factor is that Bardghji is represented by the CAA Base agency, who have strong ties with Tottenham Hotspur.

Current Tottenham players James Maddison, Son, Pedro Porro, Pape Matar Sarr and loaned-out Djed Spence are already on the CAA Base books.
Even boss Ange Postecoglou is represented by CAA Base too, so Tottenham have great connections to Bardghji’s representatives.
Another boost for Tottenham in this race is the presence of technical director Johan Lange, who has great ties to Copenhagen having served in the same role there.
Copenhagen boss Stale Solbakken has previously told BT that Lange was pivotal in signing Bardghji, travelling to Malmo to convince him to join.
Lange is described as ‘persistent’ in terms of convincing Bardghji and his family to join Copenhagen, so that prior connection could be something of a secret weapon for Tottenham.
Hailed as an ‘insanely exciting player’ by Copenhagen sporting director Peter Christiansen, Bardghji should have a huge future – and it could come with Spurs.
