Roy Keane has raved about Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min after seeing him in action against Manchester City on Sunday.
Son Heung-min scored for Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City on Sunday and has now received praise from Roy Keane.
Tottenham headed up to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon with few predicting a positive result for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Injuries have piled up for Tottenham and a trip to face the Premier League champions seemed like the last thing Postecoglou needed – especially after three straight defeats.
Tottenham rose to the challenge though, securing a 3-3 draw thanks to Dejan Kulusevski’s late header.
Roy Keane raves about Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min
Spurs took the lead early on as Son Heung-min raced clear to fire past Ederson.
The South Korean star turned in a superb performance with his work rate earning praise from Jamie Carragher.
Fellow pundit Roy Keane has joined in, telling Sky Sports that he thinks Son is simply amazing to watch in person.
Keane raved about Son’s movement as ‘absolutely fantastic’ whilst hailing his work rate in the final third for Spurs.
Keane believes that Son is a great example for any forward and praised him for distracting City defenders for Giovani Lo Celso’s goal.
“When you’re watching Son live, his movement is absolutely fantastic,” said Keane. “His work rate, if he doesn’t get it the first time, he comes back around… I thought he was a great outlet for Spurs.”
“Without a doubt [he sets the standard for Spurs]. I think he’s a great example for any player who plays up front, that movement and again, he wasn’t getting great balls, but he kept making the runs and made the run for the goal, just distracting people and leaves that bit of space for his teammate,” he added.

Son stepping up after Harry Kane exit
Son saw his attacking partner in crime leave the club over the summer with Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich.
Hardly at his best last season, Son really needed to step up for Spurs this term – especially having been handed the captaincy.
That has certainly happened with Son now bagging nine goals in 14 games this season.
The 31-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down and continues to lead by example in terms of his work off the ball.
Keane is clearly a big fan of Son and Tottenham fans will certainly agree with his assessment of the Spurs skipper.
