Stuttgart are ‘convinced’ that Serhou Guirassy wants to stay beyond January despite interest from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, West Ham and Aston Villa.
Third in the Bundesliga and dreaming of Champions League qualification, there are still a few chapters remaining in Serhou Guirassy’s Stuttgart story and the striker is in no mood to skip to the end.
According to reports, there is interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham, West Ham United, Aston Villa and co. Understandably so, given Guirassy’s remarkable form and the presence of a £15 million release clause in his contract.

TEAMtalk believe that Newcastle have opened talks with the Frenchman’s representatives.
But, in a response which will be music to the ears of Stuttgart supporters dreading a winter of much speculation, sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth insists that Guirassy has little desire to cash in on his stocks while they are at their highest.
Serhou Guirassy in outstanding Bundesliga form
“We are concentrating on the things that are in our hands so that he stays,” Wohlgemuth tells Kicker. “We are convinced that he wants to stay. But we also know how the market works.”
At a time in which the bidding for top strikers tends to start at a minimum of £40 million, Guirassy’s oh-so affordable release clause potentially makes the 27-year-old the most value-for-money centre-forward on the market.
Guirassy has a remarkable 15 goals in just eight Bundesliga starts so far this season, picking up where he left off after recovering from a recent injury.
Striker has Premier League ambitions
The long-time West Ham target cannot rule out a move to England at some point in the near future but, fortunately for Stuttgart, it seems that he will not be going anywhere until the summer at the earliest.
“I cannot hide these things,” Guirassy explains to The Guardian. “Everyone knows the Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world. But, at this time, I don’t close any doors.
“There are some very big teams in Europe, and it’s not focused only on the Premier League.
