Tottenham Hotspur may now be willing to sell midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in order to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre.
Tottenham Hotspur are in the mix to sign Fluminense ace Andre – which could see Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg flogged.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that Tottenham will battle Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United for Andre.
Tottenham have seen Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr step up this season, whilst Rodrigo Bentancur is back from injury.
A holding midfielder who suits Ange Postecoglou’s style of play is still wanted though, and it may leave Hojbjerg on the chopping block.
Tottenham Hotspur want Fluminense star Andre
TalkSPORT now claim that Tottenham have joined the race to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre.
It’s stated that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in landing Andre but Tottenham are now in the mix.
Liverpool are thought to be ‘heavily interested’ in Andre whilst Arsenal have been scouting the Brazilian head of a possible move.
The report adds that Tottenham’s idea would be to sell midfielder Hojbjerg in order to land Andre.
Andre fits a similar kind of mould to Bissouma in terms of his ability to go past midfielders from a deep position.
Quick and able to break up play, Andre looks to have huge potential and seems to fit Postecoglou’s style of play.

Hojbjerg looks destined to leave Tottenham in 2024
There were plenty of rumours over the summer surrounding Hojbjerg potentially leaving Tottenham.
No deal was done but the Dane has struggled for first-team football this season and has been linked with Fulham today.
Hojbjerg has started just one Premier League game, and that came against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday as he filled in for James Maddison.
Hojbjerg seemingly isn’t fancied over Bissouma for the holding role and Andre’s speed of play may be a better fit for Postecoglou.
Add in that Hojbjerg is out of contract in 2025 and a departure seems inevitable; whether Spurs can win the race for Andre is another matter.
