Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to snap up Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior ahead of the January transfer window.

Former Chelsea talent Samuel Iling-Junior could return to England in January with Tottenham Hotspur now interested.

That is according to a report from The Independent, who claim that Tottenham are looking at Iling-Junior as a potential signing.

Tottenham have been hit by a number of injury problems of late and may look to boost their squad depth in January.

Options out wide appear to be a priority with Ivan Perisic not only injured but also expected to leave in 2024.

The Independent now claim that Tottenham are looking into a move for Juventus prospect Samuel Iling-Junior.

Iling-Junior mostly played down the left flank but featured in central midfield for Juventus against Cagliari on Saturday.

That versatility seemingly appeals to Tottenham and a return to England could be on the cards for the London-born talent.

The report highlights that Tottenham have a strong relationship with Juventus and that could help facilitate a deal.

Tottenham have previously landed Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus and may pounce again for Iling-Junior.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Samuel Iling-Junior?

Iling-Junior joined the Chelsea ranks at the age of just eight, spending nine years at the club before deciding to leave.

The 20-year-old quit Chelsea for Juventus in 2020 and has now made 22 first-team appearances, bagging one goal and three assists.

Iling-Junior hails from Islington in North London and grew up supporting Tottenham’s bitter rivals Arsenal.

The Juventus talent told The Athletic in February of this year that he is ‘supporting Arsenal from afar’ alongside former Gunners stopper Wojciech Szczesny.

Iling-Junior would have to put that Arsenal allegiance to one side in order to thrive at Tottenham, but Spurs fans would certainly get behind him if he gives his all.
