Paul Merson has given his take on the VAR controversy in the first half of the Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City.
The former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit was not happy at all that the VAR decision went against Chelsea, the club he supports.
So, what has Paul Merson said about Chelsea, Manchester City and VAR?
Let’s take a look.
What’s the story?
Well, Chelsea took on Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Sunday.
Just as we see in pretty much each and every Premier League game these days, there were VAR issues.
City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, opened the scoring in the 25th minute.
Norway international striker Erling Haaland scored from the penalty spot.

Referee Anthony Taylor has pointed to the spot for a foul from Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella at the back post on Haaland.
There was a long review.
After a VAR check, the penalty decision stood.
It did look like Haaland had a hold of Cucurella’s shirt as well.
In the build-up, Chelsea players felt that there had been a foul on Reece James and Moises Caicedo originally.
As you can see below, former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson was not impressed.
Thiago Silva scored for Chelsea in the 29th minute.
Raheem Sterling made it 2-1 to the Blues in the 37th minute.
However, Manuel Akanji made it 2-2 in first-half injury time.
Chelsea and Manchester City ambitions this season
Chelsea have started to do well now and are finding their feet under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
However, I do not think that Chelsea will challenge for the Premier League title this season.
I think that the Blues’ main objective this season has to be to finish in the top four.
As for City, they are the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
The Citizens are going as strong as ever.
However, Liverpool and Arsenal will provide City with a strong challenge and could push them all the way.
