Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu having scouted him against Trabzonspor over the weekend.
Ferdi Kadioglu is a new name on Arsenal’s transfer wish list after scout Romain Poiriot watched him in action for Fenerbahce.
That is according to Turkish reporter Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who claims that Arsenal have positive reports on Kadioglu.
We know that Mikel Arteta loves a versatile defender, with both Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber fitting the bill.
Timber is out injured though, meaning Arsenal may well go for another defender who can operate at left back and right back in Arteta’s system.
Arsenal eyeing Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu
Turkish reporter Yagiz Sabuncuoglu now claims that Arsenal are keen on Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu.
It’s stated that scout Romain Poirot was in attendance to watch Kadioglu in action for Fenerbahce against Trabzonspor.
Poirot is understood to have been impressed, offering a ‘positive report’ on the Turkey international.
Kadioglu and Fenerbahce slumped to a 3-2 defeat having fallen 3-0 down before two Dusan Tadic penalties.
Kadioglu is right-footed but lined up on the left side, meaning he was charged with the task of former Arsenal wide man Nicolas Pepe – who did score in Trabzonspor’s win.
That wasn’t enough to deter Arsenal though, who seemingly still fancy Kadioglu after his performance against the Ivorian.

Who is Arsenal target Ferdi Kadioglu?
Kadioglu was born in the Netherlands, with his father hailing from Turkey and his mother being Dutch-Canadian, meaning he could have played for the Netherlands, Turkey or Canada.
Kadioglu picked the Netherlands whilst featuring in the NEC ranks, and even continued as an Under-21 international after joining Fenerbahce in 2018.
The 24-year-old did switch to Turkey in 2022 though, and now has 13 caps for his country.
Kadioglu has been hailed as a ‘quality’ player by former Fenerbahce ace Mehmet Yozgatli, whilst racking up 164 appearances for the club.
15 goals and 20 assists in that time show Kadioglu’s attacking ability and Arsenal may well be tempted to move for him in January.
