Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has praised his teammate Conor Gallagher on Instagram for his performance against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in the London derby on Monday evening.

It was a very controversial game which had disallowed goals and red cards.

Tottenham ended the game with nine men.

Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick.

Conor Gallagher provided an assist.

As you can see below, Jackson was hugely impressed by the display produced by 23-year-old Gallagher, and so was Chelsea legend John Terry.

Chelsea are now 10th in the Premier League table now with 15 points from 11 matches.

The Blues are nine points behind London rivals and fourth-placed Arsenal.

Tottenham are second in the Premier League table with 26 points from 11 games.

Spurs are a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

My View: Conor Gallagher flourishing under Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea

Conor Gallagher could have left Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but the 23-year-old England international midfielder is now flourishing under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The youngster has established himself as one of the first names on the Chelsea teamsheet when he is fit and available.

Against Tottenham Hotspur in the London derby, Gallagher did not always have the best of times in the middle of the park, but he kept pushing and was always a presence.

No one can doubt the endeavour that the midfielder showed against Spurs.

Gallagher has given three assists in 11 Premier League matches for Chelsea so far this season.

I believe that Chelsea are a better team with Gallagher in it.

From Pochettino’s time at Spurs, we know that he helps young and talented players improve.

I think that Gallagher will develop his game further under Pochettino.
