Brennan Johnson has lauded Leeds United’s Ethan Ampadu on Instagram after he helped Daniel Farke’s side to a statement 1-0 win over Leicester City on Friday.

The relegated duo locked horns at the King Power Stadium for a mouthwatering Championship clash, with Ethan Ampadu starting in the middle of the park for a Leeds United team sitting outside of the automatic places.

Even though Leicester City had won an incredible 13 from 14 games, that came to an abrupt end thanks to a second-half Georginio Rutter goal.

This was Leeds United sticking their chest out and sending out a signal to all that, even though there is an 11-point gap between themselves and the table-toppers, they aren’t going anywhere and they are ready to push them to the end.

One player who has played a big part in these high-quality performances from the Yorkshire side is Ethan Ampadu and he is getting a lot of love from his teammates, including his fellow countryman and Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson.

The £48 million signing (Sky Sports) wrote in the comments section of Ethan Ampadu’s Instagram that it is a ‘pleasure’ watching the Wales international play, whilst Joel Piroe also praised the 23-year-old.

‘Always a pleasure watching you,” said Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson, whilst Joel Piroe called his club teammate a ‘general’.

Leeds United looking strong

When the summer transfer window was open, everything was going wrong for Leeds and it seemed as though everything would go wrong.

But the man-management skills of Daniel Farke need to be applauded. He dealt with some very tricky situations in an amazing fashion.

And whilst certain players went on strike and wanted out, he has managed to keep them on board, fix a fragile dressing and he has them fighting again.

The Championship’s top two – Leicester and Ipswich Town – have set a serious pace and if they carry on going, then they will steamroll their way to the Premier League.

But, if there are any slip-ups, then you can bet your bottom dollar that Leeds will be waiting in the wings.
