Liverpool are interested in signing Boca Juniors midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez amid major praise from Alexis Mac Allister.
Liverpool are now ready to battle with AC Milan and Benfica over the signature of Boca Juniors talent Ezequiel Fernandez.
That is according to a report from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that Fernandez is a wanted man.
Boca have reached the final of the Copa Libertadores and will face Fluminense for a shot at glory next month.
Liverpool have already been interested in Fluminense star Andre, but may now be eyeing up Boca talent Fernandez too…

Liverpool interested in signing Boca Juniors ace Ezequiel Fernandez
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest that Liverpool are one of three clubs interested in signing Fernandez.
AC Milan and Benfica are thought to be interested too with scouts no doubt flocking to see him in action against Fluminense.
Fernandez, 21, hails from Buenos Aires and has been coming up in the Boca ranks for more than a decade now.
The defensive midfielder spent time on loan at Tigre last year but is now a key man for Boca.
An Argentinian midfielder being targeted by Liverpool and Benfica will lead to Enzo Fernandez comparisons, with the Reds potentially looking to avoid missing out this time.

Alexis Mac Allister is a big fan of Ezequiel Fernandez
One man inside Liverpool who would love to see Fernandez join is midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
Mac Allister – speaking as a Brighton and Hove Albion player – told TyC Sports in Argentina earlier this year that he loves Fernandez.
Mac Allister suggested that, if Brighton asked him to recommend an Argentinian signing, he would go for Fernandez.
“If you ask me a little more about my style, there is a player that I really like and that is Equi Fernández. He is a player who has all the conditions to reach Europe one day and I hope that can happen to him,” said Mac Allister.
“He is a player that I like a lot, he understands the game a lot. He is always prepared to receive the ball, he plays with both legs, he can play as a five, as an inside player… he is a player who has certain very good conditions and, if Brighton asked me, I would say his name,” he added.
Fast forward a few months and Fernandez now finds himself on Liverpool’s radar, with Mac Allister no doubt excited about the prospect of his compatriot arriving at Anfield.
Mac Allister holds former club Boca close to his heart and has been keeping close tabs on Fernandez’s development, potentially leading to a reunion at Liverpool.
