One of the players who hardly turns out for Arsenal is Cedric Soares.

Cedric Soares has always been a squad player at Arsenal.

Soares is 32 now, and the full-back is not going to become a regular for Arsenal.

The Portugal international had a loan spell at Fulham last season as well.

Arsenal ready to sell Cedric Soares in January 2024

The full-back has not made a single appearance in the Premier League this season and has played just three minutes in the EFL Cup.

Soares is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer of 2024.

And, according to Football Transfers, the Gunners are ready to cash in on him in the middle of the season.

The report has claimed that if Arsenal get “a suitable offer” for Soares in the January transfer window, then they will sell him.

My View: Cedric Soares should not leave Arsenal in January 2024

In my opinion, Cedric Soares should not leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Soares will become a free agent at the end of the season.

The full-back could pick among a number of clubs next summer as a free agent.

He could decide his own future instead of going to a club where Arsenal would want him to go.

Soares is 32 now and could still get a notable club in Europe.

Or, he could just move to Saudi Arabia and play there for one or two years and make a lot of money.

Soares has made 164 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) full-back has scored three goals, given 13 assists, and kept 33 clean sheets in those games.

Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from eight matches, level on points with North London rivals and leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Saturday.
