Pundit Clinton Morrison believes that Brentford striker Ivan Toney would be a great signing for either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.
Ivan Toney would fit in well at Tottenham Hotspur or maybe even Arsenal if he leaves Brentford in 2024.
That is the view of pundit Clinton Morrison, who has spoken to The Sunday Mirror (01/10, p64) about Toney’s future.
Toney is back in training with Brentford but can’t play until January having been hit with a suspension for gambling breaches.
The 27-year-old will be gearing up for his big return but questions linger over which club he will be playing for by then…

Clinton Morrison backs Ivan Toney for Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur
Toney is attracting plenty of interest, which isn’t a surprise having become a proven Premier League goalscorer.
Add in that Toney is approaching the final 18 months of his contract and top Premier League clubs will be sniffing around.
Former Premier League striker Clinton Morrison has now had his say, calling Toney ‘the real deal’ as a striker.
Morrison added that he could be a really good fit for a team like Tottenham – or maybe even rivals Arsenal.
Morrison thinks that Toney would score goals and be an ideal link player in the final third, whilst even adding some defensive presence from set pieces.
“I think he’s a good fit for someone like Tottenham or maybe even Arsenal,” said Morrison. “He would go there and lead the line because I think he’s the real deal. Not only does he score goals and link the play but he’s good in this own box as well defending corners.”

Arsenal move seems more likely for Toney
Judging by the rumour mill, a move to Arsenal seems much more likely than a move to Tottenham for Toney.
The Mirror claimed last week that Arsenal are already pushing to sign Toney in January.
Fabrizio Romano adds that Arsenal have already asked about signing Toney, potentially teeing up a 2024 deal.
Conversely, London Evening Standard claim that Tottenham would rather sign another defender January than splash big money on Toney.
That report suggested that Brentford want around £80million for Toney, a price we just can’t see Tottenham paying.
Arsenal may well be willing to splash big money though and we think that’s a much more likely move than a switch to Spurs.
