Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has been hailed after his performance in Hull City’s 3-1 win at Stoke City on Sunday.

Tyler Morton has been earning praise after a strong performance for Hull City.

Liverpool decided to send Morton out on loan again this summer following a spell with Blackburn Rovers last season.

The 20-year-old needs more first-team exposure away from Liverpool and Hull have given him that opportunity.

Morton has had to bide his time so far, making two substitute appearances for the Tigers before finally starting his first Championship game on Sunday.

Morton featured in the Hull midfield as they headed away to Stoke City, claiming a 3-1 victory.

Morton was given a 7/10 rating by the Hull Daily Mail, who praised a ‘good full debut’ after a ‘nervous’ start to the game.

The Liverpool talent took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the win whilst thanking Hull fans for their support.

Players responded in the comments with Hull teammate Cyrus Christie remarking ‘what a player’ after seeing Morton’s performance.

Fellow Hull teammates Liam Delap, James Furlong, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh and Jaden Philogene moved to praise Morton too as he made an impact in a Hull side.

Liverpool players Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott, Bobby Clark, Lewis Koumas and Tom Hill also offered praise to Morton ahead of a return to Anfield next summer.

The road to becoming a Liverpool first-team regular is a tricky one; just look at Leighton Clarkson, who impressed out on loan but ended up being sold.

All Morton can do is shine for Hull and hope to catch Jurgen Klopp’s eye, with Sunday’s performance a good start.
