Aaron Ramsdale’s father has hit back at Jamie Carragher after poking some fun at the Arsenal goalkeeper on Sunday afternoon.
Jamie Carragher’s comments about Aaron Ramsdale have now been hit by a strong response from the Arsenal stopper’s father.
Arsenal faced bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon with Ramsdale left on the bench once again.
Mikel Arteta decided to go with David Raya in goal for the third game in a row, leaving Ramsdale on the bench.
Raya couldn’t prevent Tottenham from landing two equalisers though as Spurs twice came from behind to land a 2-2 draw.

Jamie Carragher pokes fun at Aaron Ramsdale
One moment showed Ramsdale supporting teammate Raya despite losing his place in the Arsenal side to the Spaniard.
Tottenham looked to have grabbed an equaliser with Son Heung-min teeing up Brennan Johnson for a shot inside the box.
Raya was over at the near post but somewhat went all the way across his goal to miraculously claw Johnson’s shot away.
This was a truly stunning save and Sky Sports cameras cut to Ramsdale on the bench, who was passionately applauding Raya’s save.
Pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher took a rather comedic angle on that footage, suggesting that seeing Ramsdale’s reaction was ‘like being at the Oscars’.
Carragher added that he was laughing when he saw the footage and believes that Ramsdale is actually ‘absolutely devastated’ with Raya’s role in the Arsenal side.

Ramsdale’s father responds to Carragher
Carragher has now received a response from Ramsdale’s father Nick, who has send a strongly-worded tweet.
Ramsdale senior called Carragher a ‘disgrace’ and urged him to ‘show some class’ during his media duties.
Ramsdale’s father added the England goalkeeper has been showing class, suggesting that Carragher can learn a thing or two from him.
Arsenal fans loved those comments, showing appreciation for Ramsdale sticking up for his son.
Ramsdale has always welcomed competition at Arsenal and whilst he will naturally be gutted to have lost his place, it’s also reasonable to suggest that his support for Raya is very genuine.
