Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were linked with Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes in the summer transfer window.

Earlier this month, AS reported that Liverpool made a bid of £100 million for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

Newcastle, who are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season, turned down the bid from Premier League rivals Arsenal for Bruno.

According to AS, the Magpies gave a “resounding no” as an answer to the Merseyside club’s bid.

But, it now seems that Liverpool could be able to sign Bruno – described as “amazing” by Sheffield United ace Vinicius Souza on Sky Sports, in January 2024 or in the summer of 2024 for £100 million.

New Bruno Guimaraes contract at Newcastle United

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Bruno has agreed a new contract with Newcastle.

The Italian journalist has claimed that the new contract will have a release clause of £100 million.

If Liverpool were willing to pay £100 million for the Brazil international midfielder in the summer transfer window, then they could be ready to cough up that sum again soon.

Yes, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners signed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch in the summer transfer window, but there is always room for more quality players.

A release clause of £100 million would make it easier for Liverpool to get a deal done for Bruno.

We do not think that it would be hard for the Reds to convince the Brazilian to move to Anfield.

After all, Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and regularly challenge for the Premier League title.
