Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has praised Richarlison as a ‘fantastic footballer’ after the 2-1 win over Sheffield United.
Richarlison has earned praise from Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou having found the net on Saturday afternoon.
The Brazilian talked about his battles with mental health just a few days ago, admitting that he would be seeking psychological help in London.
Richarlison hasn’t been at his best on the pitch and it turns out that he has been going through a tough time off the pitch too.
Talking about those mental struggles has been commended, and it just felt so perfect that he got on the scoresheet on Saturday afternoon.

Richarlison sparks Tottenham Hotspur turnaround
Postecoglou went with Son Heung-min up top against Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon, meaning Richarlison was only on the bench.
The former Everton man was needed off the bench though with Postecoglou turning to him with just 10 minutes to play and Spurs 1-0 down.
The change made a huge impact; Richarlison powered home an injury-time equaliser, heading home from Ivan Perisic’s corner.
As if that wasn’t enough, Richarlison then went and set up Dejan Kulusevski to win it, completing a quite remarkable turnaround for Spurs.
Richarlison having his big moments just days after speaking about his mental health feels right – and hopefully he can kick on from here.

Ange Postecoglou praises Richarlison
Postecoglou has earned huge praise at Tottenham for bringing such a positive energy to the club after the rather miserable reigns of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.
The Australian has now moved to praise Richarlison, telling BBC Sport that he thinks the £60million signing in 2022 is a ‘fantastic footballer’.
Postecoglou believes that Richarlison is showing so much in his game that his on-pitch form can help things off the pitch.
Postecoglou added that Richarlison ‘did really well’ off the bench, highlighting his ability in the air – as we saw with his goal.
“We’ve got to maintain a balance in life and even for him, he needs to understand his football is still good, he’s a fantastic footballer, he’s got so much to give and that can help ease the burden he’s feeling in other parts of his life, like so many of us,” said Postecoglou.
“I’m really pleased for him – I thought he did really well. We were obviously chasing a goal and getting some balls in the box and he’s always a threat in the air,” he added.
