Paul Merson has predicted Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson to explode soon and become a big player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The former Arsenal star has written in SportsKeeda that he likes Nicolas Jackson, who joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The Sky Sports pundit has noted that the 22-year-old Senegal international forward has shown “flashes of his brilliance” for Chelsea so far this season.
Jackson moved to Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer transfer window.
Praise for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson
According to The Guardian, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners paid Villarreal £31.8 million in transfer fees for Jackson.
The 22-year-old has made four appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season.

The forward has scored one goal in those games.
While predicting Chelsea to beat Bournemouth 2-0 in the Premier League this weekend, Merson noted: “Raheem Sterling has started the season strongly and despite scoring just once in the Premier League, Nicolas Jackson has shown flashes of his brilliance and could cause major problems for opposition teams once he’s finished adapting to his new surroundings.”
Nicolas Jackson could be a big player for Chelsea
In our view, Nicolas Jackson could be a big player for Chelsea in the coming weeks and months.
We have already seen the 22-year-old forward make an impact at the Blues.
While the forward is not scoring goals for fun at the moment, he is getting into good positions and is getting chances.
Jackson is just not scoring at the moment.
That will come.
What is important is that the Senegal international stays positive and continues to back himself.
Chelsea are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
