Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Hajduk Split defender Luka Vuskovic in what appears to be a major coup for Ange Postecoglou.
Hajduk Split wonderkid Luka Vuskovic is nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur, snubbing a host of other clubs.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Tottenham are now ‘on the verge’ of signing Vuskovic.
It’s stated that Vuskovic only wants to join Tottenham now despite having interest from multiple clubs elsewhere.
Romano adds that Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Vuskovic and paperwork is being finalised for a transfer.
Romano has given the move his usual ‘here we go’ catchphrase, indicating that Vuskovic is heading for North London.

Who is Tottenham-bound Luka Vuskovic?
Vuskovic has come one of Europe’s top wonderkids having emerged into the Hajduk Split first team at just 16.
A 6ft 4in defender, Vuskovic has now played 11 times for the Hajduk first team, showing immense potential.
The Croatian media have even dubbed Vuskovic as ‘unstoppable’, heaping huge praise on the teenager.
Vuskovic also hails from a football family as his father Daniel turned out for Hajduk and Rijeka among other clubs in his playing days.
Vuskovic’s grandfather Mario played for Heerenveen whilst great-grandfather Marko turned out for Hajduk.
Brother Mario was in the Hajduk ranks before heading to Hamburg in 2021 whilst cousins Moreno and Vito play for Kustosija and Rudes respectively.
That’s quite incredible but it looks like Vuskovic may have the potential to go the furthest in his career.
Vuskovic won’t be allowed to play in England until he is 18 though, meaning he is likely to be loaned out by Spurs when his deal goes through in January.

Who else wanted Vuskovic?
Romano doesn’t name any of the other clubs in the mix but there have been plenty of rumours in recent months.
The Daily Mail reported in April that Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester City had all been targeting Vuskovic.
City had been making enquiries into a £12million deal, seemingly leading the race for Vuskovic’s signature.
Tottenham now appear to have won the race ahead of their Premier League rivals, giving Ange Postecoglou another exciting young defender.
Micky van de Ven has huge potential whilst Ashley Phillips and Vuskovic are enormous talents, potentially setting Spurs up for years to come at the back.
